It’s tempting to compare ourselves, our parenting, our children, to others.
But we don’t all experience things the same. We don’t all have access to the same internal and external resources. Our perception of ourselves as parents can have little bearing on reality. We might feel really proud of ourselves, not yet aware of things we need to work on. We might believe ourselves to be the worst parent in the world when we're actually doing a great job all things considered.
I just want to tell you that you are enough as you are. You are the person who knows you child best and you're their best hope.
You, present and available, doing your best with your flaws and limitations, is enough.
